At the heart of our community are the many Calgarians that live and work in our great city. I had the pleasure of meeting with Ward 13 business owners and residents, Maran and Marvan, at their Canyon Meadows barbershop, to talk about opening and running a new business in March 2020 as a pandemic descended on Calgary.
Their story showcases that of many Calgarians - it is one of resilience, working hard, passion for what they do and their community, and wanting leaders who help all Calgarians get back on top. “We like living and working here because it’s safe and quiet” says brothers Maran and Marvan, “The people are friendly, and help us a lot. They support local business.”
